I HAVE A FRIEND WHO…“Is in Financial Trouble”
The Promise: Philippians 4:19“And my God will meet all of your needs according to his glorious riches.”
The Premise: Philippians 4:14-18
THE PREMISE COMES BEFORE THE PROMISE:
We cannot claim verse 19 unless we’re living verses 14-18
When we’re generous with others, God is generous with us.
This is the Christian insurance policy: coverage & warranty!
THREE PARTS OF THE PROMISE
1. The source of The Promise.
“My God”- He’s a personal God! (4:19)
“Our Father in heaven…” Matthew 6:9
2. The scope of The Promise.
“…will meet all your needs.” (4:19)
TWO AREAS THE SCOPE DOES NOT INCLUDE:
The consequences of laziness.
“For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘if a man will not work, he shall not eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10
All my wants. There is a huge difference between my needs and wants!
3. The supply of the Promise.
“…according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus! (4:19)
God’s bank is never going to be bankrupt!
Not out of His riches, but according to His riches!
For the faithful believer, God’s promise is a blank check! For ALL my needs!
SIGNED BY JESUS HIMSELF!
AS YOU LIVE OUT THE GOOD NEWS...BE A BLESSING!
