Matthew 5:11 “God blesses you when you are mocked and persecuted and lied about because you are my followers.”
Jesus focuses on their faithfulness, and specifically,
how they have been faithful in the face of three distinct challenges.
- I Know About Your Suffering.
- I know About Your Poverty.
Matthew 6:19-20: “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where they can be eaten by moths and get rusty, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where they will never become moth-eaten or rusty and where they will be safe from thieves.
- I Know About the Slander.
Matthew 5:11 “God blesses you when you are mocked and persecuted and lied about because you are my followers.
Here is the Good News in the Letter to the Church…
